A bit about me:

Over the years I have been an avid playground basketball player, relying on speed and superior fitness to overcome my lack of height.  I have been a competitive tournament racquetball player and size was much less of an issue in that sport.  Running, cycling, and hiking are all activities I regularly engaged in at various times in my 50+ years on the planet earth.  I am a tech lover, a dedicated reader, and a gamer ; board and video; and as such am living proof that these demonized activities will not automatically turn someone into an unfit overweight couch potato.  I love dogs; I have two; and cats are great, too (I have one of those).

  1. For your ongoing coverage of health and fitness, we are inviting you to a live demo of Sensoria Smart Socks via Google+ Hangouts this Friday (8/2) at 12:00pm (PST).

By way of background Sensoria Socks are wearable (and washable) smart socks that track steps, speed and distance (think FitBit, Nike Fuel), then goes well beyond to track weight distribution on the foot as you stand, walk, and run to help prevent injuries.

Sensoria socks are powered by proprietary textile sensors and a Bluetooth-enabled, detachable anklet, which enables it to deliver superior accuracy compared to other fitness trackers on the market today.

The anklet and socks also pair with a coaching app to identify and correct injury-prone running styles, which can also be used to benchmark and analyze performance.

This Google+ Hangout will be hosted by Heapsylon VP of Development Maurizio Macagno, followed by a QA discussion on the impact wearable technology can have on the fitness and health communities.

If interested in seeing Sensoria in action, please click here (https://plus.google.com/events/c02uqs2sd9sflm5lt8405727mmk) to sign up for/attend the event. Much looking forward to hearing back from you, thank you for your consideration, we appreciate it.

    Best,
    Luke
